About

About

I am an editor and producer with over 15 years of industry experience and a passion for empowerment and education through storytelling, looking to transition to full-time editorial in documentary and independent media. After graduating with a BS in biology from Cornell University, I realized I’d much rather create films like the nature documentaries that ignited my love for science. This led to an MA in film from Emerson College and a video career fostered in public television and independent film, including working as a PA for NOVA, editing the documentary The Adventists, and most recently creating national spots for the PBS series Independent Lens at ITVS.Before that, I practiced my passion and production talents in content marketing and social video. I enlightened folks about finances with The Motley Fool and demystified health topics at Healthline Media, not once abandoning the mission to empower others through good stories.Born and raised in New York state, I currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area. In my free time I play percussion in community bands. Once, technically, we opened for the Rolling Stones (I was the 3rd gorilla drummer from the left).Software
Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop), Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, Pro Tools (Avid certified specialist), Frame.io, Asana, Trello
Honors
Fellow, Respectability Entertainment Lab; Production Accessibility Coordinator Trainee, IndieVISIBLE Access Instigators; Speaker, Options for All Film & Media Studio
Awards
As Editor: Gabriel Award Winner, Best Film on a Topic of Religion; Telly Silver Winner, Social Responsibility. As Assistant Editor: News & Documentary Emmy nominee, Outstanding Promotional Announcement; People’s Telly Bronze winner, Television Series, Shows & Segments; Golden Trailer nominee, Best Documentary TV Spot
